FINISHING
BLOCKING
For a clean final look, blocking your piece is recommended before attaching to the dowel. For acrylic fibers, steam blocking is recommended. For natural fibers (cotton, wool, etc.) wet blocking is recommended.
ATTACHING TO THE DOWEL
For a tutorial, watch this video.
After completing Row 67, Fasten off and leave at least a 4-foot tail to attach to a branch or dowel.
Using the yarn needle, attach the piece to the dowel by placing a weaving a whip stitch through each stitch and around the dowel. Tie off and weave in the end.
HANGING THE PIECE
Cut 24” pieces of the light green, medium green, and dark green.
Braid the pieces of yarn to create a rope.
Tie or glue each end of the rope to either end of the dowel.
Use this attached rope to hang the finished piece.
